The terms governing your use of law.ethicalfounder.com — acceptable use, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law.

Effective date: 4 September 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of law.ethicalfounder.com (the “Site”), operated by Ethical Founder Law, a project of Ethical Founder (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Site.

1. What this Site is

The Site is a publisher of general information about law, claims, settlements and regulated finance.

It is not a law firm, not a financial adviser, not a broker, and not a referral service. Using the Site creates no attorney–client relationship and no fiduciary, advisory or professional relationship of any kind. Our full Disclaimer is incorporated into these Terms by reference and you should read it in full.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Site. By using it, you confirm that you are.

3. Permitted use

You may read, print and share our content for personal, non-commercial use, and quote briefly from it with clear attribution and a link to the original page.

4. Prohibited use

You may not:

  • Copy, republish, scrape, mirror, syndicate or redistribute substantial portions of the Site’s content without our written permission (see our DMCA & Copyright Policy);
  • Use automated systems to harvest content or data at a rate that burdens our infrastructure;
  • Use our content to train commercial machine learning models without a licence;
  • Present our content as your own, or as the work of a licensed professional;
  • Use the Site to give legal or financial advice to third parties;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its servers or any connected system;
  • Introduce malware, attempt to disrupt service, or probe for vulnerabilities without written authorisation;
  • Use the Site for anything unlawful, defamatory, harassing or fraudulent.

5. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — text, structure, tables, graphics, layout and code — is owned by Ethical Founder or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Third-party trademarks and company names appearing on the Site remain the property of their owners and are used nominatively, for identification and commentary only, as set out in our Disclaimer.

6. User submissions

If you send us content — including corrections, comments, source suggestions or feedback — you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, adapt and publish it in connection with the Site and our editorial process.

You confirm that anything you send is yours to send and does not infringe anyone’s rights or breach any confidence or privilege.

Do not send us confidential case information. Submissions are not privileged and not confidential. See the Disclaimer.

7. Third-party links

The Site links to third-party websites for reference and verification. We do not control them, do not endorse them by linking, and accept no responsibility for their content, accuracy, availability, security or privacy practices.

8. No warranties

The Site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, currency, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability.

Law and regulation change. Content accurate at publication may not be accurate when you read it.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we and our owners, editors, writers, contributors and affiliates will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive damages — including lost claims, missed deadlines, lost profits, lost data or lost opportunity — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or your reliance on its content, even if we have been advised of the possibility.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you is limited to INR 1,000 (or the equivalent in your local currency).

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your infringement of any third party’s rights.

11. Availability and changes to the Site

We may modify, suspend, restrict or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice. We may update, amend, archive or remove any article at our discretion, subject to the corrections commitments in our Editorial Policy.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page, with the effective date shown at the top. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance.

13. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

14. Severability and waiver

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of the Site — except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence grants you the right to bring proceedings locally, which these Terms do not remove.

16. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Disclaimer, Editorial Policy and Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site.
